What Is It

What is an
Aeration System?

An aeration system is a device or system used to increase dissolved oxygen content in water. Widely applied in wastewater treatment, drinking water treatment, and aquaculture, it works by introducing fine air bubbles into water — promoting the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and accelerating the breakdown of organic matter.

LiTENDA's aeration systems combine fine-bubble disc diffusers, tube diffusers, and air distribution manifolds, all engineered to deliver consistent oxygen transfer efficiency with minimal energy consumption and long service life.

Whether you need equipment for a new plant or are upgrading an existing system, LiTENDA offers free technical consultation, custom design, and full after-sales support — talk to our engineers before you buy.

Material Technology

Premium Diffuser Membrane Materials

LiTENDA uses only high-grade raw materials from globally recognized suppliers — ensuring long service life and resistance to scaling, chemicals, and fatigue.

MATERIAL 01
Bimodal Distribution EPDM (ExxonMobil)
Our EPDM diaphragms use a molecular weight "bimodal" distribution polymer that combines the mechanical strength of high-molecular-weight EPDM with the processability of low-molecular-weight EPDM — delivering exceptional elasticity and tear resistance under continuous aeration duty.
MATERIAL 02
Controlled Long-Chain Branched EPDM
Using DSM's long-chain branching technology, this material achieves a narrow relative mass distribution and higher vulcanization rates — maximizing cross-link density and improving resilience over the full service life of the diffuser.
MATERIAL 03
IIR268 Butyl Rubber Additive
A small percentage of butyl rubber is blended into the EPDM formula. With its dense methyl side chains, butyl rubber significantly improves tearing resistance and tensile deformation properties — extending membrane longevity in aggressive wastewater environments.

Membrane Options

Four Membrane Types for
Every Wastewater

LiTENDA offers four distinct membrane materials — each selected for specific wastewater compositions, temperatures, and treatment challenges.

1
EPDM Membrane
Standard high-performance membrane for municipal and general industrial wastewater. Excellent ozone resistance, long service life, proven in millions of installations worldwide.
2
PTFE Membrane
Premium fluoropolymer membrane for aggressive wastewater — outstanding resistance to fats, oils, solvents, and chemicals. Reduced fouling frequency vs. standard EPDM by a factor of 5–10x.
3
Silicone Membrane
Ideal for aquaculture and food-grade applications. Flexible across wide temperature ranges, biologically inert, and highly resistant to biological fouling under continuous operation.
4
TPU Membrane
Thermoplastic polyurethane membrane combining flexibility with excellent abrasion resistance. Suitable for wastewater with high suspended solids or fibrous content.
