What Is It

Built for Long,
Narrow Aeration Tanks

A tube diffuser is an aeration device that disperses fine air bubbles along a slender membrane, making it the natural choice for tanks that are long and narrow rather than wide and shallow — a layout where disc diffusers leave gaps in coverage.

LiTENDA's tube diffusers pair an EPDM or silicone membrane with a reusable ABS support tube, so only the membrane needs replacing at end of life rather than the whole fitting. Diffusers can be mounted singly or in pairs, with adapters available for both round and rectangular header pipes.

Every unit goes through batch testing before shipment, and our team can match diameter, length, and connector thread to your existing tank layout — just send us your dimensions for a free configuration check.

Built to Last

Tube Diffuser Advantages

Every detail of the build — from the membrane formula to the slit geometry — is chosen to extend service life and protect aeration efficiency.

Reinforced ABS Support Tube
The support tube is molded from reinforced ABS for durability, and stays in service across multiple membrane replacement cycles.
UV-Stabilized EPDM Membrane
The EPDM compound uses imported UV-protected formula with low plasticizer content, resisting degradation under prolonged sun exposure.
Balanced Membrane Thickness
Membrane wall thickness is held between 1.8–2.0mm — thin enough for low pressure loss, thick enough for a long service life.
Batch Quality Control
Every production run is tested for consistency before shipment, so every diffuser in your aeration tank performs the same way over time.
Built-In Check Valve
A double check valve design prevents water or sludge backflow into the air line when the blower stops, protecting the system during shutdowns.
Self-Cleaning Slit Pattern
Shaped membrane perforations resist tearing and clogging, keeping bubble output even between maintenance cycles.

Inside the Build

Component Construction

Every tube diffuser is built from three core parts working together — the membrane sleeve, the support tube, and a large/small end fitting system designed for stable, leak-free operation.

Tube diffuser component construction breakdown

The membrane sleeve — made from EPDM, silicone, or TPU rubber — is secured to the support tube with a 304 stainless steel clamp for a tight, corrosion-resistant seal. Beneath the membrane sits an ABS engineering plastic support tube lining, chosen for its strength and resistance to chemical attack from wastewater.

Uniform micro-hole distribution across the membrane allows bubbles to form evenly, and the holes automatically open and close under air pressure to resist blocking.
Hollow support tube structure allows the diffuser to fill with water, reducing buoyancy so the unit stays stable and submerged during operation.
Large end (25/32mm inner thread, optional) connects directly to the gas distribution pipe in your aeration system.
Small end (10mm inner thread) is fixed to the tank floor via an L-support bracket, keeping the diffuser anchored and level.
Large End
Gas inlet, threaded connection to the header pipe. Optional 25/32mm inner thread for flexible pipe matching.
Small End
Finned end cap, water-fillable. Fixed to the tank floor through an L-support for stability.
Engineering Highlights

Advanced Tube Diffuser System

Designed for high oxygen transfer efficiency at a balanced cost — the LiTENDA system pairs a durable membrane with a finned, easy-install end-cap design.

High oxygen transfer efficiency driven by fine, evenly distributed bubbles across the full membrane length.
Balanced cost-to-performance ratio — strong aeration output without the premium price tag of disc systems.
Durable EPDM / Silicone / TPU membrane options let you match material to your specific wastewater chemistry and temperature.
Clog-resistant and corrosion-resistant construction keeps performance stable across long operating cycles.
Easy to install with standard NPT threaded connectors — no specialized tooling required.
Maintenance-free design built for continuous operation with minimal service intervention.

Suitable across municipal wastewater, animal slaughter and processing, food processing, and beverage production lines with EPDM membranes — while silicone variants extend coverage into pulp & paper, petrochemical, and refining process wastewater. Thread options include 3/4" NPT Male Thread (DN20 = 25mm) and 1" NPT Male Thread (DN25 = 32mm) to match your existing piping.

Choose Your Membrane

EPDM vs Silicone Membrane

Both membrane types are available across all three tube diameters — choose based on your wastewater profile and budget.

EPDM tube diffuser
EPDM Tube Diffuser
Built with a bimodal molecular-weight EPDM compound that combines the strength of high-molecular-weight polymer with the easier processing of lower-weight grades. The result is a membrane with high tensile strength, strong resilience, and good tear resistance.
Municipal & Industrial Lake/River Restoration Aquaculture
Silicone tube diffuser
Silicone Tube Diffuser
Uses a vinyl/low-benzene silicone blend cross-linked through a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction, which raises elasticity and tear strength to above 35 kN/m while keeping flexibility consistent over time.

How to Pick the Right Diameter

Tube diameter should match your tank depth and treatment load — here's a quick reference.

63mm
Small / Medium Tanks
Best for water depths up to 3m. Delivers high bubble density and strong oxygen transfer for lower-flow systems, and is the easiest size to install and maintain.
93mm
Medium Tanks
Suited to depths up to 5m. Balances coverage area against bubble fineness, making it a good fit for medium-load treatment processes.
113mm
Large / Deep Tanks
Built for depths beyond 6m and high flow rates. Wider bubble distribution suits large aeration volumes and heavily loaded wastewater.
Oxygen transfer needs — smaller diameters produce finer bubbles, raising dissolution rates where oxygen transfer efficiency matters most.
Energy efficiency — smaller diffusers need higher initial pumping pressure but often save energy long-term through better transfer efficiency.
Pollutant load — heavily concentrated or hard-to-biodegrade wastewater often calls for the higher bubble flow of larger-diameter units.
Total cost of ownership — weigh purchase price against installation, maintenance, and the operating savings from higher transfer efficiency.
